Christmas with my family

When I am abroad it is a good opportunity for my parents to come and visit me. It just provides a reason. You know how people always like to do certain things but never actually got around to doing them. One always pushes back his wishes. But when I am abroad, it is different, they say, let's go while he is still there...

So my parents and my sister came for 10 days only, during Christmas. They first spent 3 days in Malaysia, and then they came to Singapore. I arranged with my boss that I could take 3 days off so I was free from Thursday to Tuesday which gave me 5 full days to spend with my family. Man, was it tough. They wanted to see everything. Singapore is small, alright, but to do everything in 5 days is pretty crazy, we just kept running from one place to another. I tried my best to show them what I found interesting, and to make them taste as many different food as possible.

In 5 days, we went for a cruise in the harbor; we walked through Chinatown, Little India; we went trekking in Bukit Timah Natural Reserve; we went cycling in Pulau Ubin; I took them to Orchard Road, to the Zoo and the Night Safari. It sounds dumb, but trust me, the Singapore Zoo is one of the best in the world. Overall, we had a very good time, but I was super tired when I had to get to work on Tuesday.

Yvonne joined us in the Zoo and Night Safari, and on their last night in Singapore, we had dinner with Shannon and Yvonne. We went to a little hawker center near NTU. The food was delicious, I really love this place. Here are two pictures of this last meal I had with them :

You cannot see me because I am taking the picture

This time my dad is taking the picture.

I think they were very happy with their stay. Of course they would have liked to see more. So little time, so much to do... What to do ??

Thanks for coming and visiting me, Dad, Mum, and Noemie :)
